A law went into effect earlier this year in DC that mandated a formal grievance system be created within the state DD agency, among many other things. My former social work intern is in charge of developing that system (I'm so proud!) and she asked if any of the DD Councils had information about peer support or peer mentoring programs, as it relates to complaints or government services. She mentioned she had connected with folks in Michigan and wanted to know if there are other models she should also be looking at.
