Dear Friends,

Self Advocates Becoming Empowered (SABE) Voter Project has just completed a report on the voting experiences of voters with disabilities across the United States.  This has been done in collaboration with Protection and Advocacy organizations who have the primary responsibility to assist people with disabilities with voting.  The purpose of this report is to let disability organizations, Election Officials, Secretary of State Offices, Congressional Staff and many others know how well the Help America Vote Act is working for people with disabilities.  According to the findings in this report it is not working very well for voters with disabilities.

Many reports have been prepared but what is unique about this report is that it compiles first-hand comments from voters traditionally not included in other surveys.  We hope you find this information useful and will continue to support voters with disabilities getting their vote out.

Please feel free to share this report with others.  We want to let others know that the right to vote is not equal to all citizens.  If you would like to become more involved with this project and/or would like to learn more about it, please contact Essie Pederson, xxxxxx@gmail.com or Teresa Moore, xxxxxx@hotmail.com.

Best regards,

Essie and Teresa
