DD Councils,

 

This email is to notify you that all State plans have been approved for funding beginning October 1, 2016.  The reviewer feedback has all been submitted and analysis of comments is currently underway. You can anticipate notification no later than October 26, 2016 in the form of a Tier 2 Review summary.  This summary will provide overall findings as to the strengths, weaknesses, and compliance concerns identified for each State Plan and corresponding Work Plans.  Based on these findings, you will also receive direction from AIDD as to whether your approval is conditional, meaning amendments will be required or if the Plan has been approved for the full five years.

 

We recognize this has been quite the year for Councils with a new template and reporting system.  We appreciate the tremendous effort both Councils and Reviewers have put forth to ensure each Council is able to continue its important work in the lives of people with developmental disabilities and their families.

 

The Administration for Community Living (ACL), Office of Grants Management will be working on distribution of Notice of Award Letters to Councils.  We anticipate this will occur mid-October and will send out further communication as we learn more.
