Subject: News on 2015 TA Institute

Dear DD Council Network

The 2015 Technical Assistance Institute has been planned for Thursday, July 23, 2015 (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) in Sparks, Nevada.

During the 2015 Institute, the re-designed 5-Year State Plan Template will be released to the DD Council Network.  As a result, AIDD staff, ITACC staff, and members of the Performance Measures Workgroup will present in-depth review and guidance on sections of the template with significant changes.

In response to feedback from previous Institutes, we have planned small group time to work through sections of the 5-Year State plan so that experiential learning can occur.

We encourage each DD Council to send at least one staff member who is involved with the development of the 5-Year State Plan to attend this important meeting.  We have asked AIDD to provide a letter of request for your attendance to assist with out-of-state travel approval.   If you need this letter quickly, please let Angela or Sheryl know.  Otherwise, we will provide the letter to all ED’s as quickly as possible.  

If you cannot attend the TA Institute, materials will be made available on the ITACC web-site, but not until August, 2015.
