Congrats Yvonne! So sorry for the COVID issue. It is amazing to me the lengths that people are going to ignore guidance so they can just do what they want! Stay safe. Valarie

Subject: [External] Selected to the Disability Inclusion Fund Grantmaking Committee for Borrealis Philanthropy
Just got great news!. I was selected to become an advocate participant on the Disability Inclusion Fund Grantmaking Committee for Borealis Philanthropy.
Borealis helps connect grantmakers to organizations that meet their mission. They provide a high level of service to our funders and grantees by conducting our work in a manner that is collaborative, transparent, and accountable. They also respond promptly to the needs and interests of our partners by staying abreast of changing policy and social landscapes.
The DIF Grantmaking Committee is comprised of 10 members: 5 are disability advocates and the other five representative corporations and foundations.
I look forward to any input and guidance to try my best to represent the DD population through who seeks to receive these funds.
COVID-19 Status
The VI might be to be going on lock-down now. The CDC sent out an advisory regarding traveling to the VI. Unfortunately, the spikes are coming from travelers from the US who refuse to wear masks. They are also arriving on boats, then coming to shore on dinghies "under the radar".
Everyone Best Regards and Stay Safe!
