Subject: RE: Possibility for Partnership with the Corporation for National and Community Service
Hi Cornell and Happy New Year to you too. I hope it treats you well.
Unfortunately, I am not attending the Thursday meeting.
As requested, here is the description of our Community Inclusion Brokerage Project and the contact information for the organization with project responsibilities.
The Washington State DD Council is managing a Community Inclusion Brokerage through a contract with an organization to provide technical assistance and consultation
by:
1. Convening Forums to
identify community concerns or issues important enough to the community to change with an activity or project; and
2. Establishing and supporting
Leadership Teams to that involve individuals with disabilities, their families, neighbors, civic members, support personnel and community members to conduct projects or activities that result in building relationships.
3. Additionally the Broker
will award funds to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families to initiate or participate in community events or activities.
This project began on August 23, 2014 and will continue for the next two fiscal years.
The project is conducted through a contract with:
Tracy L. Kahlo
